What do rolling shutters look like when they are open?
When open, the shutter curtain rolls into a compact housing mounted above the window or door. This allows the opening to remain unobstructed during normal use. The housing and guide rails will remain visible.
We have several colors to choose from. Additionally, the shutter housings and guide rails can be color-matched to your specifications, if desired.

How long do rolling security shutters last?
A properly installed and maintained rolling shutter can provide many years — and often decades — of service.
Enviroblind continues to service shutters that have been in use for more than 30 years. Actual service life depends on frequency of use, exposure to weather, maintenance and the individual components used.
How much maintenance do rolling shutters require?
Rolling shutters are relatively low-maintenance, but periodic cleaning, inspection and lubrication help keep them operating properly.
We generally recommend professional inspection and maintenance at least annually, with more frequent attention potentially appropriate in coastal or other demanding environments.

Can Enviroblind repair older rolling shutters?
Yes. Enviroblind provides maintenance and repair services for rolling shutters, including many systems that have been in service for years or systems installed by other companies.

What warranty comes with Enviroblind rolling shutters?
Enviroblind's current warranty includes three years on qualifying shutter parts and materials for shutters installed by Enviroblind or an approved dealer, along with a separate labor/installation warranty for qualifying Enviroblind installations.

Can rolling shutters be installed over bedroom or emergency-egress windows?
Rolling shutters can be installed in many residential applications, but any opening that is required for emergency escape or rescue must continue to meet applicable building and fire-code requirements.
The shutter design, controls and installation should therefore be selected with emergency operation in mind.
